ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the CFO Americas, the Controller is a key member of the management team and is involved in decisions requiring his/her expertise and analysis of financial information, operating costs and financial projections. The Controller will be responsible for the analysis of financial and accounting data and the preparation of certain documents related to financial reporting, as well as overseeing the month-end process for the finance team. The position will also work on process improvement in a vision of strong growth and creation of new entities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the accounting of the company and its subsidiaries ;
• Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements;
• Ensure the proper application of accounting and tax standards;
• Participate in the management of the annual budget process and monthly forecasting;
• Monitor the cash flows of the companies under his/her responsibility;
• Actively contribute to the improvement of processes and the integration of accounting systems;
• Verify compliance of the entire accounting cycle such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, budget planning and annual audit files.
• Ensure that processes are up to date
• Participate in the improvement of control systems
• Participate in the financial integration process of new companies
• Participate in the annual audit, quarterly reviews and audit of controls by external auditors.
• Support the rest of the team in the execution of tasks
  

Our Ideal Candidate :

• Hands-on experience with accounting software like Microsoft Dynamics or any other ERP ;
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables ;
• Experience with general ledger functions ;
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills ;
• Diploma in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree ;
• CPA designation (asset) ;
• Experience in auditing (asset);
• Experience in implementing or managing an ERP system;
• Experience in a multicurrency environment (asset);
• Experience in IFRS (asset);
• 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position;
• Good team player, autonomous and rigorous;
• Bilingualism required (french & english)
